Background

The company Aérojames was created in May 2004.

Our goal is to create an enhanced new generation of ultra-light aircraft. Our airplanes must have improved performance, an expanded flight envelope, and the ability to land safely on all types of fields. Even beyond that, our aircraft must offer a greater flying pleasure and a better view of the ground and sky.

Thus the ISATIS 01 project began: We set out to build a propeller driven ULM with exceptional visibility and fly-ability.

Our team has the complementary skills that are necessary to complete a project of this magnitude successfully. We are experienced in building airplanes, mechanical engineering, flight instruction, and management. We have assembled a team of people with outstanding technical abilities.

Our main rule is to keep going on with great energy.

Each step of the process is called finished when we are satisfied that it is the best that we know how to make it. We do this to guarantee that we build a successful aircraft; an aircraft that is a joy to fly and own.

Main steps

  • In 2004, the ISATIS 01 project was selected by the Agence Nationale pour la Valorisation et la Recherche (ANVAR) which helped us financing the company investments.
  • First flight tests in February 2005.
  • In 2006, Aérojames was selected by the magazine L'usine nouvelle as one of the 110 most innovating companies in France.
  • 2007-2008, standard production preparation (more than 200 tools and moulds were realized).
  • In 2008, Aérojames was granted the certification for the ISO 9001 (year 2000 version) norm.
  • Spring 2009, we expect our first deliveries to clients.

Premises

Production unit and R&D services have been set up in Corsica, close to our main aeronautics provider who produces the ca. 120 carbon components that are needed to build each ISATIS 01.

The aircrafts are then assembled before being transferred by road and sea to the Sisteron (Alpes de Haute-Provence) platform where they are checked and tested.

After validation of its conformity, the ISATIS 01 is provided to its new owner.
